Fire Stations - Tyndrum and Crianlarich

We are blessed to have two operating Fire Stations in the Strath. One in TYndrum the other Crianlarich. These used to be manned on a voluntary basis until 1st April 2009 when both were 'upgraded' to Retained status. There are 5 Firefighters in each station all of whom are available by pager 24/7/365. The Stations are served by 7.5 tonne machines and run as 'one pump'. Each Station has a Watch Manager, Crew Manager, and 3 Fire Fighters. They train on a fortnightly basis ( Thursday ) for 4 hours.
